Encouraging and supporting people to take Leaps of Faith has been a passion of mine for decades.
I’ve taken countless personal leaps since I drove everything I owned from Chicago to LA to work in the film business at age 21. In my 40s, I took new leaps to overcome a lifetime of shyness and become a public speaker, along the way co-founding the first Toastmasters International chapter for writers of all types (Toastmasters4Writers, in Burbank CA).
In my 50s, I also walked on hot coals with Tony Robbins and completed a half-marathon walk in Hawaii on the Ironman Triathlon track as a memorial for my Dad.
Most recently, I went ziplining and rapelling for the first time at age 63!
In 2008-09, I hosted and produced my own internet radio show “Living in Balance” where I interviewed experts on Body, Mind, Heart &/or Soul about how they stayed balance in their own lives. Then I began publishing books and ebooks based on my coaching processes.
I’ve also evolved through 35 years of marriage to author and Native American Spirituality teacher Glenn Schiffman. Together we raised our amazing daughter Risa, who’s literally a life saver (she and her terrific husband are both emergency room nurses and wilderness medicine teachers), as well as a world-traveler.
In 2012, Risa spent 6 months bicycling (mostly solo) from Peru to Patagonia ~ and in 2013 Risa and her husband biked across Columbia during the rainy season… on muddy back roads… just for fun! Their inspiring trip-blogs with photos and stories can be found at: www.bicivida.travellerspoint.com
As a life coach/trainer, I’ve led entertainment career breakthrough one-month courses for Flash Forward Institute and live webinars for Rubicon Results Institute. In addition, I’m an NLP Practitioner and a Certified One-Hour Mastermind Director. I’ve also been trained as a Certified Simple Abundance Workshop Leader by best-selling author Sarah Ban Breathnach.
